DR. ANGELA BRUNSON has her PhD in Musicology and wrote her dissertation on music in the Vietnam prisoner of war camps. She also writes poetry and songs, enjoys public speaking, and loves to sing and act. She recently discovered a talent for painting and started a new career as an artist. JOHN BURGETTE writes in several styles, including poetry, research, sermons, and short stories. His background includes computer science, social sciences, academic research, and lay ministry. Besides contributing to several of the CC Writers’ anthologies, his creative writing has appeared in Southern Writers magazine and Tennessee magazine.

BETH KREWSON CARTER received her degree from Meredith College, then went to work for Procter & Gamble. Later, while raising a family, she taught school for several years. She studied creative writing with Laura Grabowski-Cotton and has written for Woman’s World magazine. She currently lives in Tennessee with her husband and the youngest of their three children. Poison Root is her second novel, The Nest Keeper was her debut in 2019.

JUDY CREEKMORE wrote for the Times-Picayune for 25 years. She is the author of Celebrating 200 Years of River Parishes History, and Wartime Memories from Louisiana’s River Parishes; also two unpublished cozy mysteries. Her short fiction has appeared in various anthologies. She encourages others to write by word and example.

GARY FEARON is a writer, musician and voice artist. His published works include From Manuscript to Microphone: The Author’s Guide to Creating Audiobooks, After Abbey Road: The Solo Hits of The Beatles, and Right Brain Writing: Creative Shortcuts for Wordsmiths. Audiobooks he has narrated include the Ken Osmond biography Eddie: The Life and Times of America’s Preeminent Bad Boy. LARRY FITZGERALD is a retired businessman who enjoys writing Christian fiction, including romance and mystery. He is a former youth soccer coach and feels it is essential to encourage Christian worldview thinking in the hearts and minds of our young adults, which is reflected in his two published novels, A Dog Named Speed and The Back of The Net. STACEY LONGO GRAHAM’S childhood fascination was the written word. Forget toys; she wanted books. After years in child welfare law, she embraced her lifelong passion—writing. However, instead of anticipating retirement with her husband; she’s now driving carpool, checking homework, watching soccer practices, and being a mom to a child she never saw coming. Inspirational writing is her gift to them both.

IKE MARTIN was born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. In his youth, he spent portions of his summers with relatives in rural Mississippi and became fascinated with Southern culture and “rural speak”. Ike’s writing has focused on short fiction and humor. His first book was Booming to 60, A Baby Boomer’s Guide to Geezerdom. Ike is currently working on his next book, Rural Life Becomes Me and Other Stories. An avid sports enthusiast, Ike plays racquetball and golf, and can often be found walking the trails early in the morning. Ike and his wife Carolyn live, walk and frolic in South Cordova, Tennessee.

ANNETTE COLE MASTRON started her writing career in the insurance industry working for over 35 years as an investigator, writing reports for a variety of clients. In 2012, she changed careers to work as Communications Director for Southern Writers magazine and its blog, Suite T. She wrote for both the magazine and blog until it closed. A charter member of C C Writers, she is contributing author to multiple anthology books and is writing her first book. She is Editor-in-Chief of this anthology.

LINDA McKNIGHT is both a Navy and Army Veteran. She has 16 years’ experience in Christian ministry. She retired from the Army as a chaplain. She also served as chaplain at the VA Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. An avid Mah Jongg enthusiast, she plays both socially and competitively. She also teaches beginner and intermediate Mah Jongg lessons. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she now resides in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

BARBARA RAGSDALE is an award-winning writer in short stories. She is published in Forever Young, three Chicken Soup for the Soul anthologies and multiple short-story collections published by CC Writers. Her story “A Walking Miracle” is published in Guideposts’ Miracles Do Happen. Her poem “Final Moments” was published in Can,Sir! Moments. She was a columnist and staff writer for Southern Writers magazine. When not writing, she is an exercise instructor with the Silver Sneakers program.

NANCY ROE has self-published nine books. The Accident won the Gold Quill Award, and Butterfly Premonitions won First Place for the first chapter. Nancy is a member of Sisters in Crime and The League of Utah Writers.

PAM STEIN is an elementary school librarian who loves preserving her family history through photography, scrapbooking, and writing memoirs. She is an avid gardener and loves taking photographs of nature. She has been published in professional library journals, national anthologies, and local writing groups anthologies. She loves writing for children of all ages.

ANNETTE G. TEEPE is a writer, scientist, educator, hiker, and life-long learner. Her passion is teaching others through her writing and speaking skills. She hopes to inspire future generations of scientists by publishing science topic books for elementary and middle school students. She is a member of the Bartlett Christian Writers group, the Collierville Christian Writers group, and the National Association for Science Writers.

KATALEIGHA WALSH enjoys nature, cold weather, sports, and art (drawing, literary, and performing). Her work has appeared in the local newspaper, Cypress magazine, and Pure in Heart Stories. She’s in middle school.

JAN WERTZ is enjoying retirement life by turning her imagination loose as a writer, photographer, and traveler. One of her travel addictions is to sign on as a tourist with a storm chasing expert and his tour guides. A DAR, her writing frequently includes her family memoirs.

RED WILLIAMS is a clinical chaplain, writer, and editor who found that profundity in brevity worked best for his audience who were pushed for time. As a Navy chaplain he became known for his concise, but relatable, daily email devotions that circulated around the globe. As a hospital chaplain during the COVID pandemic, he encouraged the staff with reflections in Safer in Faith. Currently, he is a contributing writer/editor for The Quiet Hour devotional and Bible in Life and Echoes (David C Cook Publishing), and blogs at https://adifferenttack.wordpress.com/.
